I may not say much when people don’t follow through on their promises. I may take no recourse when offers go unfulfilled and the failure to perform goes unacknowledged by the should-have-been performer, but I notice. Yes, it matters. And best believe that if I notice, others do too. Unlike some who roam the earth with a red felt tip pen, ready to correct and address any weakness of character in another, I elect not to engage in such a thankless activity, choosing instead to move in more stimulating circles, avoiding entanglements with charlatans and other chronic wasters of good faith, precious time and talent. More than fickle desire is required for success. Avoiding dealings with inconsistent people and ignoring what they say is one of best gifts to give yourself this Christmas. Start early.
